Willard Walker Hospice Home

This is truly an amazing place. When my grandmother made the decision to forgo surgery and spend her last days surrounded by friends and family she was moved to the Willard Walker house. Over the following days we had the most amazing care. I say we because this facility doesn’t just help the patient, they truly care for the families. The nursing staff is absolutely incredible. Their attention to detail, their respect for the patient and for the family is outstanding and the care they provide is unmatched. They truly gave my grandma the dignity and respect she deserved. They spoke to her like a human, without pity, without patronizing her, even when she was non responsive they asked her questions, had conversations with her and treated her with the utmost compassion. Everyone in the staff was super friendly and nice EXCEPT Gene. Very rude, obnoxious and told me to my face she didn’t like having to repeat herself if I couldn’t listen the first time when I only asked about a loved ones medicine for the FIRST time. Other nurses on staff seemed too intimidated to say anything while she spoke. Understandable. She was horrible. Excellent facility otherwise though. Hope nobody else has to endure that side of her during you’re visit to a hospice facility.

Thank God for Wilard Walker hospice! With their help I was able to care for my husband at home until the last 24 hours. That final day I got to just be his wife which had been my honor for 41 years! The facility is comfortable, beautiful and peaceful and the staff were precious angels that gave him such loving , gentle care! I can't praise them enough for their compassion! They were an absolute God send and I will be eternally grateful!

Staff was really just amazing very kind & supportive. Everyone was very attentive to my husbands needs &.Im Extremely grateful for the care respect & dignity they showed him during his last days.

We cannot say enough about the doctors, nurses and staff that cared for my grandmother in her final days. The facility is clean and beautiful and everyone that worked with my grandmother was so caring and thoughtful to her every need. They were there for us as well. It was the first time anyone in our family has had to go through something like this and we cannot say enough about this staff. Words cannot adequately express our appreciation. Thank you!
