Wheeler Occupational Therapy

Jen is an amazing Pediatric Occupational Therapist. She has been working with my four year old son for quite awhile now, and he loves to "play" with Miss Jenny! My son is speech delayed and has faced challenges with his fine motor skills development. It was recommended through his preschool evaluation to begin OT and we were very lucky to meet Jen. She makes the therapy work fun, she is engaging and keeps it interesting each session. My son looks forward to his sessions and will ask when Miss Jenny can come back to play. My husband and I have witnessed our son's progress and it has been incredible. She has helped our son not only with his fine motor development, but has also helped build his confidence. We are grateful and highly recommend Jen!

Words cannot express how impactful Jenny has been both in responding to my son's OT needs and for educating us as parents to be better able to advocate for him in a school setting. Her expertise is beyond impressive, especially as she is able to employ that knowledge in entirely "play based" ways during therapy sessions. She also has an intimate knowledge of how OT issues are addressed in schools; she specifically has been helpful in working with our son's school district to ensure they are adapting specific strategies that will help him. Also, it's awesome how she has made time to do therapy sessions both in her (beautiful!) business and also within my son's classroom. I cannot recommend Jenny's services enough. She's a true professional.

Jen helped us with a feeding evaluation for our 10 month old. She came to the visit with a plethora of literature, visuals, and feeding supplies, and more importantly with kindness, understanding, and enthusiasm. Jen had an impressive way of smoothly transitioning between interacting with my son and explaining things to me or asking me questions. Her time with us clearly demonstrated her extensive experience in feeding development. We left the visit with a full toolbox and much more confidence than we had started with, and we knew she’d continue to be with us every step of the way.

Jennifer Wheeler provides therapy that is individualized, supportive and innovative. She has amazing communication skills that provides families and caregivers with peace of mind to know they are getting the best therapy! She provides skilled therapy that not only meets the needs of the child, but also the family/ caregivers as well. I would highly recommend Jennifer Wheeler!
