Westlake Convalescent Hospital

This is a horrible place. My wife is always in pain . They don't know what there doing here. She is suffering. I tell the head nurses and they don't care. There rude . My wife is stuck here . The worst place ever

I was admitted here six months ago and it was completely different from my previous facility. The previous facility had me drugged everyday to keep me asleep but once I was admitted here I came back to life. I was slowly able to recover, my feeding tube was removed and I began to eat regular food. I also began to get therapy and RNA exercises that helped me improve my strength. The nurses here are really nice and kind. I am very grateful for the care here at Westlake.

This place should be investigated as soon as possible. I hope you all have the opportunity to read this before it's too late for your loved ones. I have been fortunate enough to live right next to this facility to hopefully be a voice for the people suffering. I have never seen so many patients being rushed in and out of the hospital as I have this place, I'm talking all day and night almost every hour they are rushing some patient, who mind you, looks in terrible shape/condition by ambulance to the emergency room and alot of them don't make it. This place should be shut down it's dirty and they treat the people in there like animals. My aunt was treated bad by a worker in there. Their clothes gets lost all the time my aunt's shoes were lost and my aunt was with no shoes God knows for how long. No security inside hospital/ I've never seen one. But yet they do have a security out at the parking lot. "REALLY" hospitals are supposed to be always cold but for some reason this one is always hot...

At most 1 out of 5 stars. I would not recommend Westlake Convalescent Hospital at 316 S. Westlake Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90057. They used to be good in 2015, but they have severely declined in the level of care and service to their patients since then. They seem to be short-staffed for CNAs about half the time. Some of the CNAs don't come for a long time after the call button is pressed, and when they come, they do the minimal amount of work. I know a patient who was staying there. They didn't respond to the patient's call button even an hour after they were called. They regularly left the patient lying in the patient's own waste, even in diarrhea, for hours at a time, even after the call button was pressed for help.
