I would like to pay tribute to a very special group of workers on Unit 1. I have had the unusual privilege of having 2 roommates who died 7 weeks apart. They were best friends when they were bringing up their families on the North Fork in Mattituck. They both ended up here, and significantly, in the exact room. Marilyn passed first, on December 23, 2025, and Barbara, passed on February 12, 2026. This 5 star golden review is for the staff. The beautiful Nurses, Mary, Ann, Nicole, Natasha, Liz, Viviene, Kelly, Anna, Jessica, Gabriella, Andrew and Derrick.The Aides who dutifully, with loving patience, attended to their needs without complaint.The Aides are Ellen, Shanequa, Lisa, Shania, Ebony, Serenity, Nyla, Valone, Roadley, Corey, April, Karen, Althea, Norma, Maisie, Ivonne. The Rehab therapists Amira and Cossette have been extremely attentive, very professional and extremely knowledgeable. They were both incredible and kind. I've had Therapists in the past and they cannot measure next to these 2 professional Therapists. I'm being discharged tomorrow with the knowledge they have given me to transition safely back to my home. Let me just add the food is terrible, but I was assured that it's not any better in the other facilities. Nursing was absolutely amazing, Ashley has gone above and beyond her duties in caring for me and other patients. The aides Mike, Latoya , and Kerry have all been attentive, funny and caring. My mother-n-law has had an extended stay at WHCC. She is getting excellent care and everyone has been very helpful. Big shout out to the PT/OT team specifically Addie the supervisor who took time to thoroughly discuss my mother-n-laws transition strategy and Shaziye and Rushi who went out of their way to help with a practice car transfer on a SUNDAY so my Mother -n -law could get a day pass to be with the family for Thanksgiving! They are giving her the tough love she needs to get strong enough to go home soon. The 4th floor nursing staff and aides have all been wonderful and accessible for questions and updates on care. The staff at Westhampton Care Center has been outstanding. They are literally extending my mother’s life. She is 97 years old and just survived a series of illnesses including Covid, pneumonia and UTI. Other facilities would have given up but these angels brought her back better than ever. My sister and I were prepared for moving Mom into Comfort Care but instead… today she enjoyed a concert at 2pm and then had her hair cut and styled by the amazing Michelle. This place is heaven on earth. We are go grateful. Thank you 💕

I just returned home from a five week stay at the Westhampton Care Center. I wanted to particularly praise Physical Therapists Serafina and Clifton for the knowledgeable and outstanding care I received from them. Each and every day was a different routine they planned for me to gradually regain my strength. A rod was surgically implanted for a broken hip so it was a long process but their consistent and heartfelt treatment made it a positive experience for me. Always smiling and encouraging, they definitely made a big impression on me and my healing body. I was released yesterday feeling stronger and more hopeful for my health.
