I’ve been coming to Western Dental & Orthodontics for many years, and my experiences have been a bit mixed over time. In the past there have been some long waits, which I know other patients have mentioned as well. That said, I want to give credit where it’s due — my dentist, Dr. Aparna Puvvula, has done a really excellent job for me over the last few years. At my appointment today, I came in because I had a small bump on my gumline near my back lower left tooth that had been bothering me for a while. Dr. Puvvula took a careful look, quickly identified it as a bit of excess gum tissue, and removed it right there during the visit. They cancel my appointment while I was there after waiting 1 hour and 30min, driving from 45miles away. I had to get the day off and the next day to recover from my surgery. They just simple said "we need to reschedule we can't see you today". Horrible I hope people read this and think twice before using this clinic.

Very unprofessional. I went in expecting to just get a routine cleaning, but they immediately attempted to upsell me on anything and everything. Before even checking with me, the first thing they tried was asking to have them remove my wisdom teeth. I dont even have them! While I was waiting, I noticed one of the staff didnt wash her hands after using the restroom. The dentist came and took a quick look at my teeth and left me with some sales lady. She then proceed to try and sell me on anything she can think of.

I have access premiere insurance and had a mouth infection. My insurance gave me an emergency office western dental to see me that day. When I arrived the receptionist stated no doctors available. I ask her emergency appointment should have emergency visit. The receptionist stated no appointment available and should could schedule me one week away. I took the appointment and left. The place smelled really bad and sour. I will pay out of pocket to a cleaner out of network dentist. I am state employee and will probably cancel the plan.

Unbelievable how straight up they told me while there were two people still waiting in the waiting room for their appointment which they were coming from Goleta to get treated and the lady even said I’m sorry but you guys have to wait a little longer. She said the girls on the front had to send them to get their lunch. The lady at the front desk don’t remember her name but she told me sorry for the waiting yes 2 hour wait. My appointment was at 11 am didn’t get treated for ortho until almost 1pm and she had mentioned to me that they were trying to get all the patients from Ventura first to be treated. I was thinking unbelievable, while the Goleta people had to wait to treated at the very end even though we all had an appointment at a certain time. I mean I get good service every time I’
