I'm a new patient here, and the whole staff were absolutely great! They talked me through the whole process, listened to my concerns, and were firm but gentle in telling me to floss (fair). They even fit in me in for fillings on the same day so I didn't have to make two trips! I'm very satisfied with the care here.

SCAM. DO NOT GO HERE. I have only gone to legitimate, exceptional dentists in the past. This is not it. They did not inform me I could pay $99 for an exam, cleaning, and x-ray as a new patient. Instead, I was presented with the $400 annual plan without being given alternative options, telling me I was saving on the a la carte services since I have no insurance. When confronted about this, they stopped even responding to my emails. No response whatsoever. They say they are trying to help those without insurance - this is simply not true unfortunately. Additionally - I was quoted $12k for 2 root canals and other work. I got a second opinion at a respected dentist - I paid $400 for the work I needed. No root canals needed. The manager was very friendly and patient and quickly put my insurance questions to rest. I’m on MassHealth and have had bad experiences with other dentists for insurance reasons, but West Somerville Dental made everything easy and pleasant. I recommend them for anyone on MassHealth

All of the staff at the dental clinic were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Even though my English isn’t very good, they took the time to explain everything to me clearly and patiently. This was my first visit to a dental clinic in the U.S., and I’m so happy and relieved to have received such friendly and considerate care. It was a really positive experience!

I first visited WSD for an emergency appointment for wisdom tooth pain in January after not having been to a dentist for a few years due to a cross country move, my old practice closing, and general healthcare anxiety after Covid.
