I never thought I would have a lovely experience at the dentist then I met Dr. Leila Jamshidi, she is wonderful. I had very bad anxiety about going to the dentist, I knew I needed to get a cleaning, between finding someone that would take Delta Dental insurance, deal with my extreme anxiety and someone I felt I could trust, I thought it was impossible. Everyone that works there is warm and welcoming, it is clear they want you to feel comfortable. I am so thankful to have found them!

My first visit. I was greeted very warmly by all of the team. They were very thorough in getting the new patient information before I arrived so they all were very ready for me. A very important item for me is the VERY clear communication from everyone. They made sure I understood the process they follow, thoroughly discussed all procedures and made sure I understood what insurance covered and what I was responsible for with details on amounts and timing. I've already recommended West Seattle Dental to a family member.

I’ve had great experiences with the dentists and hygienist at West Portal Dental Care. I have significant dental anxiety and struggle with certain tools like xrays, and everyone I’ve worked with has been very understanding and taken steps to make sure I’m comfortable during appointments. I’d highly recommend West Portal Dental Care to anyone, but especially if you haven’t been to the dentist in a while and are afraid to go back. The location of the office is also convenient and accessible from public transit.

My first visit was overall okay, though I left feeling a bit disappointed given the very strong reviews. My appointment was scheduled for 1:00 PM, but I wasn’t seen until about 30 minutes later. The X-rays and cleaning took close to two hours, which felt quite long. There were several interruptions along the way, including missing or malfunctioning equipment, repeat X-ray images because the first ones weren’t taken correctly, stretches where no one was in the room, and the dentist needing to return after forgetting a step. Toward the end, I asked for a sip of water before the fluoride treatment because my throat was extremely dry after the long appointment and knowing I wouldn’t be able to drink for 30 minutes afterward.
