West Medical Bakersfield

I would not recommend taking the weight loss surgery through west medical. Every appointment to talk to a doctor or for anything was through a phone call. I never went to a Cardiologist for heart Clarence For my weight loss surgery, they did an ekg the day of my surgery and if it was working enough then that’s all they were okay with. I Went through this program for eight months and NEVER MET my surgeon, only met him the of day of my surgery. The doctor was only available To do the surgery in LA, not here in Bakersfield. So I don’t know why a west medical office is here in Bakersfield but you will never meet your doctor in town.When I had my surgery the hospital was very run down, Out of surgery when they placed me in my room for two days no working AC was my room and my room went up to 9

I’m always pleased when I visit West Medical in Rancho Cucamonga because the staff is so caring and wonderful! Roula is amazing! She has a comforting and beautiful way about her & how she cares 4 her patients 💕 Thanks again for everything West Medical, my procedure was perfect!

I had a terrible experience with west medical . Don't get me wrong the surgery was perfect and it did the job. However, they neglected to tell me that my insurance didn't pay as much as they wanted. So I ended up with a bill in the thousands of dollars after I already paid them out of pocket a couple thousand, they sued me for the rest of the money even though it was them telling me not to worry about it, everytime I questioned if my insurance was going to cover everything. Then when I told their attorney they didn't disclose everything he basically called me a liar because they told him they did!. Very shady and not honest in my opinion . But the surgery itself and the care was good.

I had an endoscopy done 2 days ago and I have to say I have never had a better experience at a hospital. The nurses were on point with getting all the information I needed and communicated to me what was going to be happening step-by-step the anesthesiologist came to visit my bed before the procedure to reassure me all would be OK as well as the doctor I woke up feeling great no pain the nurses were awesome and helping me to the bathroom when I needed to go and when it was time to check out it was all a very speedy process I am so comfortable I cannot wait to return to have my gastric sleeve done I definitely would trust this hospital with my life thank you for the amazing visit.
