West Hartford Imaging

When I arrived at the WH Radiology center, I was greeted by Jill. She was courteous, pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. She went out of her way to make sure that reports were sent to my list of physicians. She also made sure I had a disc with my study before I left. Honestly she couldn’t have been more helpful. I know it’s not easy working in health care, and patients can be be difficult since their not at there best, so she is all the more exceptional. The Radiology tech was Sharon. She was pleasant, knowledgeable, started my IV on the first attempt, explained the procedure accurately, and moved things along efficiently. She was also exceptional. This place has REALLY gone downhill now that Hartford Healthcare has taken over. Unfortunately, it is not the same, for sure, as it was. Years ago it was independently owned, then Midstate took over, and now Hartford Health(does not)care runs the show. Horrible patient interaction, feels like you are a number. Noone seems to care that you are a human and giving them business. The gals at the desk are giving misinformation regarding Medicare, when in fact there is a provider phone number for them to call if there are any questions. Seems they are "just doing their job" and don't care why they are making you sign something. Just for your info, Medicare DOES cover ultrasounds if medically necessary. Jan is the BEST to see for a breast ultrasound!! She is so knowledgeable, skilled , helpful and kind. Kathy and Lindsey were so kind, patient and caring during my mammogram. I was in great hands- you will be too !

Joyce was amazing! She was very kind and professional. I hope everyone is as lucky as I was and get her as their technician.

The merger has caused a major slow down in service. In the past I was in and out of the office in 20 minutes for a routine scan. My visit on January 5th took over an hour after my scheduled appointment time to be called. It is insulting to be kept waiting that long without any communication that they are running behind. Once I was called, the visit was excellent, as expected. I'll think twice about using a facility that has no regard for me and my time.
