Absolutely terrible place! I would give zero stars if possible. The rooms are dirty and falling apart, the bed was broken, the call lights were nonfunctional, and the staff members were neglectful. My mom ended up having to call me in the middle of the night and needing EMS called to be taken to the ER. The staff acted like they didn't understand what was going on or why she felt she needed to call me. She ended up needing blood transfusions and antibiotics. If left in the care of this place I honestly don't think she would have lived through the weekend.

I have been an “Angel in Disguise” for many years now. My volunteer status has been everything from just visiting the nursing home residents in Memory Care, Assisted living, Independent living, etc. Someone just to say “you are not alone”. I want to emphasize the fact that the health care staff is impeccable. The transportation staff is impeccable. The housekeeping staff is impeccable. The dining is getting better. Sadly the events, the activities, the social aspects are lacking. The nice lady I believe her name is Beth in memory from what I have observed is the sweetest. She is firm yet caring in a very unknown characteristic area. She is quite calming. And so kind. She engages their minds.. it is quite incredible. Now moving on.. sadly the activities are so lackluster… it is sadly a bad

September 3, 2025 My sister was placed in Wesleyan Village's Beacon House a few years ago. She appears content, which is important to her family. Several Nursing Homes were considered before she was placed in Wesleyan Village, Elyria. Wesleyan had a couple of huge benefits that other Nursing Homes didn't offer: Residents could keep a pet as long as they could care for it, which was extremely important to my sister, and Wesleyan won't throw you out on the street when your money runs out! The only two complaints I have at this time are; it's really hard to get anyone to answer the phone in that unit and they have a large staff turnover. Biggest complaint is the exorbitant price for care, like all Nursing Homes! That said, Pete & Lisa are the main nurses I've interacted with in Beacon Hous

At first I was distraught with the idea of placing my mother in assistant living. This was the only place I was interested in after viewing a few others. The administrator and other staff members help make this experience a healthy and bearable transition. My mother has her own "apartment" with her personal items. The accommodations are welcoming in addition to other amenities. I asked my mom daily how do you like staying here? "It's nice." Are the staff being good to you? "Yes they're nice."are you being good? "Of course I am"😊 The nursing and assistant nursing staff are wonderful. They make sure they assist you with whatever you need and answer any questions that you may have. I had to let go of my selfish desires of wanting to be my mother's caregiver. I had the privilege of caring for

We recently moved our grandmother into Wesleyan Village, and the experience has been exceptional. My grandma is blind in one eye and has very limited vision in the other, so finding a place where she felt comfortable and supported was incredibly important to us. Ashley and Shelley in Sales, were amazing throughout the process. They made everything so smooth and stress free, not just for us but for our grandma as well. Their professionalism and care truly stood out. Since moving in, my grandma has raved about how kind everyone is. She Loves Terri! The nursing staff is so friendly and attentive, Michelle and Pete are always making her feel at ease. The facility offers a variety of activities, including bingo, coffee and donuts, and even outings to local stores. It’s wonderful to know she has
