WellSpan Digestive Health - Chambersburg

I had my first colonoscopy and the first time using anesthesia. I had Tina as my intake nurse, Candace as my anesthesiologist, and Dr. Yeasted. They were all wonderful, patient with me, and I feel comfortable with going back in a few years.

I was dreading my first colonoscopy but everything here went smooth. From beginning to end, all of the staff was exceptionally professional and explained everything well. As long as you follow the instructions given, you should have no issues. Dr. Gaffney came out afterwards to discuss the results and I was heading home in no time.

Negligent practice. Severe symptoms have been brushed off and the solution is to take Gas-x, IBGard, etc. I have a constant rod-like pain in my mid-back, nausea and vomiting for over a week, stomach pains, eating minimally and acid reflux flares. I was told by a scheduler since I wasn't due for an appointment and had just seen Joy (literally right before these issues flared up), I couldn't make an appointment. I've had nurses tell me basic stuff. I have yet to hear back from my GI, herself, and it's been 5+ days since I sent my journal to her. I am seeking referral elsewhere so my GI flare-ups can be properly diagnosed and treated.

I don't care for WellSpan as a company. They don't care about their employees, why would the employees then care about the patients.. anyway, this appointment was scheduled a long time ago probably over an year wait. I do the check-in on my phone staff never questioned it. I got a call back to the room waited a few minutes to see the provider Ryan Robert Gaffney. He took his time and helped and assisted in anyway he could. I talked to him for a good hour. We are still in touch regarding my diagnosis.

The worst place to have a procedure done. I went there for a Banding for my hemorrhoid. The banding was supposed to be on for one week, it came off the next day. so I was very concerned. the doctor said that it was not unusual but it was fine and won't see me. I called back the next day cause i was in pain. They told me to take tylenol, i called back to tell them that one week after, i was still bleeding and in pain, they still won't see me, but they told me to feel free to go to the ER or urgent care. The doctor won't see me until next month. I'm still in pain. My advice to you is RUN and dont look back.
