However, Doctor Welch's exceptional observational skills and attentive listening style enable him to keep me focused during our discussions. His willingness to accommodate my needs, including allowing me to take notes and set reminders, is greatly appreciated. Be Cautious of Unexpected Fees and Cash-Only Policies! I visited this doctor to have my respiratory prescriptions renewed, but left me frustrated and disappointed. Upon checking in, I was informed of a co-pay (cash only) that needed to be paid before I could be seen by the doctor, which is standard. Then told I also owed an additional co-pay from over a year ago. This was the first time an outstanding balance was mentioned. I have not received any prior communication, bills, or collection notices regarding this supposed charge. Yet, was told I could not be seen until both amounts were paid in cash. No card, no check, cash only. The policy of demanding payment up front is understandable, but asking patients to pay surprise fees on the spot especially without documentation or prior notice
