Weiss Memorial Hospital

I had a painful ingrown toenail, and the care I received here was excellent. The doctor/nurse explained everything clearly, made the procedure quick and comfortable, and I felt immediate relief. The clinic was clean, the staff was friendly, and follow-up care was easy to understand. I really appreciate how professional and gentle they were—highly recommend this place if you’re dealing with the same problem!

Unfortunately my father was taken to the skeleton crew hospital. It was dingy, unorganized and just dirty in some places. The staff was helpful and nice. I know something is better than nothing for the community. But God help us. We can do better and we have to do better. This is how we usher in robots to help cover the shortages.

Weiss hospital Is no longer an Asset in the Edgewater and uptown community. Five years ago and for ten years prior, I had been at Weiss hospital for my father and myself. I have come through the emergency room, the ICU and the General Hospital. It was packed with dedicated talented professional individuals from doctors, nurses and PCT and CNA‘s. Last week, My mother How do accident and need an emergency room and the fire department took her to Wise hospital and the choice of being the closest hospital. The emergency room staff performed adequately and we had to spend three nights at the hospital to qualify to go to any type of rehab center. Those three diets, I witnessed the worst of the worst. The supporting staff In the day was fair, but in the evening itwas nonexistent, unprofessional

I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of communication from Weiss Hospital Emergency Room. My brother was admitted and stayed there for 3 days, and not once was I informed—even after calling the hospital four times to check if he was there. As a concerned family member trying to locate a missing loved one, this experience was deeply upsetting and stressful. Families deserve better communication and transparency, especially during critical situations.

The emergency shelter transported me here because of a seizure. I refused to go, turns out I had no concussion, only a UTI probably from the unsanitary conditions we were living in. Thankfully every nurse and doctor treated me with dignity and compassion and sent me back despite the shelters directors displeasure. Sadly, I heard the hospital closed down cause they gave good patient care for a community hospital.
