Weill Cornell Medicine - Kidney Transplantation Medicine

I went to Weill Cornell Medicine to volunteer as an organ donor for a loved one. Donating an organ is already a daunting and stressful process. It definitely was not made any easier by the Cornell Kidney Coordination team. The Cornell Patient Care Services team was dismissive, condescending, and rarely available to communicate with. As exams are being done to determine my compatibility, the social worker on staff who interviewed me asked me very invasive personal questions while maintaining a patronizing tone. I, too, am a social worker, so I understand how motivational interviews are to be conducted.
