Wayne Center

Not sanitized when patient left. The bathroom was full of the previous persons tooth brush comb hairbrush deodorant and more. Husband was told he could use bedpan until tomorrow Bathroom not cleaned or sanitized. Friday, sat, and Sunday. I had to clean the bathroom. The physical therapist took the toothbrush etc out when I mentioned it for the 2nd time. I told night nurse on sat he didn’t offer to clean it out and said he would tell housekeeping and it would be cleaned for today. Nope, still exactly the same until I mentioned it to his pt. And she put on her gloves and removed it. Ted had to use the restroom several times before I was able to clean it myself. There was no bed table either. I was at the Wayne Center for one month and I was treated very poorly. Most of the nursing staff ignored me when I needed something, especially if I needed a bed pan, or use the commode, or a cleaning up. The nurses and aids were mostly rude and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. After two hours of waiting sometimes for an aid to come to my attention (this would happen more often at night than during the day), I would yell down the hall from my bed because I could hear the nurses and the aids chat chatting with each other and laughing, I would still be ignored. The place was dirty. The food was very high in fat and carbs, and they could not accommodate me for being a diabetic. The only positive side that I had from the Wayne Center was the rehab section. My mother is a resident there and I'm concerned of how she is being treated up there it seems like every time I call it's like shes nervous to talk like basic questions I ask like how are you being treated are you okay it's like she changes the subject you always want your mother to be well taken care of and treated fairly when you get older you just want to be comfortable and happy and at peace and if shes not than that is an issue that would need to be addressed the elderly are defenseless they didnt ask to be put there but since they have to be there I just would like my mother to be comfortable and be able to talk to me without being nervous I love my mother and again I just want her to be safe and comfortable

I am truly thankful to have found this facility after having to remove my father from a previous one due to neglect. The level of care and support he is receiving at the Wayne Facility has exceeded my expectations. The staff’s professionalism and the open lines of communication have made a significant impact on our experience. The occupational and physical therapy he’s receiving is exceptional. Keep up the outstanding work, team! Your commitment to quality care truly makes a difference.

It’s been very nice staying here and it seems like everything is convenient. If I need something, the staff will bring it to me, whatever I need. I’m going to miss that
