Let me start this review by saying I normally do not engage in the review aspect of people doing their job , but today I make an exception. I am a new patient at Watson Clinic after years with my former physician whom has moved and no longer able to continue being my doctor . To hence my 1st encounter with Rhonda Smith was as I arrived for my initial Dr appointment, mistakenly I went to the lab window and was greeted by a very welcoming smile and pleasant good morning. Although I wasn’t at the correct location Ms. Rhonda directed me to the proper check in kiosk . Normally for myself that wouldn’t bring me to reviewing an employee. I arrived at the South Lakeland lab on 12/1 at approximately 6:50 a.m. for a scheduled appointment. While waiting in line, I observed the receptionist, Rhonda S., repeatedly instruct patients to “back up and wait at the pole/sign” in a curt and dismissive manner. While the sign is clear, people naturally step forward when the previous person finishes. Correcting them is reasonable; doing so in a condescending tone is not. It created an unnecessarily cold and impersonal environment. I also watched the patient ahead of me be turned away due to what appeared to be a scheduling error. When I stepped up, I was not greeted. Instead, I was met with an abrupt request for my name and date of birth, followed immediately by a statement that my appointment was scheduled for 12/8. I explained that my

The staff was very friendly. Rhonda was very kind and helpful. My labs dates were messed up and she called my doctor's office and got them updated so I did not have to come back another morning. This saved me from missing time from my job. I greatly appreciated Rhonda's help.

I had a UTI starting at the beginning of August. Instead of prescribing antibiotics for me right away, they wanted more urine samples from me to "make sure it was really a UTI" despite the obvious symptoms. It took two weeks of multiple urine samples that somehow "got contaminated" and the infection reaching my kidneys before they finally gave me the antibiotics. I needed two separate prescriptions because the first batch didn't work, which meant I had to fast and give more urine samples just to get more. It never should've gotten to this point.
