Dr. Platzer is an excellent physician I been going to him for years. He is young but very experienced like I said I been going to him for years. He found Squamous cell cancer on my lower shin. He did surgery and stitches no pain he is friendly & makes you feel relax. His assistant Lisa is also wonderful I get very nervous & dizzy she got me water and let me rest until I felt better she was a sweetheart. I highly recommend Dr. Platzer and his team.

I had an excellent experience with Julie Teigen. She was incredibly kind, efficient, and knowledgeable, and made the entire visit feel easy and comfortable. She took the time to listen, explained everything clearly, and addressed my concerns with confidence and care. You can tell she truly values her patients and their time. The office staff was just as impressive. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and well organized, and the appointment moved right on schedule. From check in to check out, the process was smooth and pleasant.

Not all Water’s Edge Dermatology offices are the same, but this one is by far the best! Dr. Platzer is funny, calm, and collected. He doesn’t take himself too seriously, and he made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. I had a pilar cyst removed, and while it was somewhat painful, the procedure was quick. They even have a screen to keep you distracted, which really helped make an uncomfortable situation much easier. The office itself is clean, welcoming, and comfortable. The ceiling designs, wallpaper, and proper lighting add a nice touch and create a pleasant atmosphere. The front desk staff is also friendly and kind. It was easy to get an appointment, too—some doctors make you wait months to be seen! I highly recommend this office.

I visited this clinic after being referred by the VA Hospital, and unfortunately my experience wasn’t the best. The two ladies who helped me seemed to be in a big hurry when they did my biopsy, which made the visit feel a bit rushed. It’s now been more than six months and my primary doctor still hasn’t received the lab results. I’m not sure where the miscommunication happened, but it’s been frustrating. Next time I’ll probably just go directly to the VA Hospital, even if it’s farther from my house, because I’d rather feel properly taken care of than rushed.
