Dr. Lamothe is the best optometrist in the DC area. He evaluates your entire eye health, explains things fully and clearly, and provides you with all available options. His office operates efficiently and you rarely have to wait beyond your scheduled appointment time. Even if you do not (or no longer) live or work in the downtown DC area, his care is worth a visit from the suburbs.

Dr Lamothe is wonderful! I’ve been seeing for 5 years. He makes a point to go through my history and asks how my family is doing. I originally saw him bc I needed contacts for my wedding in 2019 but the contacts wouldn’t come in time so he gave me a bunch of trials. His office was clean and calm throughout the covid craziness. The front office is efficient. We had to move states and it’ll be hard finding a replacement

Dr. Lamothe really demonstrated an exceptional level of courtesy, professionalism, and transparency during my visit. The staff at Washington Eye Associates also treated me incredibly well. I don't think I'll ever go to another eye care provider for as long as I live in D.C.!

Dr. Lamothe is simply the most professional eye doctor I've had over the past 20 years seeing a different doctor almost every year. I've visited him twice now. He's polite, professional, informative, and sensitive to the unique needs I've had during both visits. He gives you the feeling that he truly values your concerns and provides expert consultation in return.

Dr. Lamothe is a great eye doctor, and I recommend him to anyone! He is friendly and professional and explains everything thoroughly during and after check-ups. His office is also taking great care during the pandemic to ensure the health and safety of their staff and customers. I cannot day enough positive things about the practice!
