Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy

I’ve been forced to use Walgreens specialty pharmacy and it has been the worst experience of my life. My son with a chronic condition has now missed doses of his medication due to their negligence and unwillingness to help their patients.

This is the best pharmacy I've ever used. I recommend them to everyone I know, because I know they care about me as a person. They always go above and beyond to help me get my prescriptions on time and at an affordable price. One of my medications is over $100 a month, and they worked out how to get it to me for only $15. Their prescription deliveries are fast and easy to set up, and if the package is late or doesn't arrive, they'll do everything they can to make it right. Helpful tip on how to get prescription filled

I had been getting my prescriptions filled here for over a year with no problems. Last time I went in, I was informed that my provider is "no longer contracted with Walgreens" and thus they could no longer fill the prescription. This sounded like nonsense to me, I've never heard of a contract being necessary between provider and pharmacy. So I called my provider, and was informed that this is not a valid reason to deny my prescription and that many of their other patients have nevertheless been told the same thing. Walgreens was happy to take our money up till now but all of a sudden they started being shady towards lgbtq people. I considered returning to the pharmacy to argue, but then I decided that I didn't want to give them another penny. And so I won't, ever again.
