Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy

We had the best experience at Walgreens on 1874 Piedmont Ave. Left my son’s insulin at home for an overnight trip and we ended up needed insulin! Went to Walgreens and was walking out with insulin within 5 minutes! The kindest and most welcoming staff I have ever encountered! Thank you guys for saving our weekend!

Seems disorganized. The information you get on the phone may not be accurate. Also you often need to call to get the order moving. I had one order sit in purgatory for a week until I called to check in. I had to pick up a 3 month supply and I checked on the phone that 3 months was there, they said yes. When I arrived they only had one box and said the rest was out of stock. Another time I had to wait 45 minutes for a prescription they said was ready (again on the phone) because they had accidentally put someone else’s prescription in mine. I have to use a lot of different pharmacies because I travel for work and this has been one of the most disorganized ones.

This Walgreens provided me with a great experience altogether. The pharmacists here were friendly, helpful, and very accommodating to my needs as a customer. I definitely recommend this pharmacy to anybody who wants the best customer service around. It’s location is somewhat hard to miss if you’re driving and you’re not exactly sure where it’s located. So, it’s the last store on the right in the same building as the Papa John’s store. It’s directly across the street almost from the new Sprouts. It’s intersection changes from Piedmont Rd. NE to Piedmont Avenue NE, if you’re headed north. If you’re headed west from Cheshire Bridge Rd. NE, it changes into Piedmont Circle NE. Needless to say, it’s quite a crazy intersection. This is one of the best pharmacies that I’ve been to because the staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and timely. You can easily drop off prescriptions or pick up prescriptions that your doctor sent over. Recently I had a question about one of my medication’s and I was able to talk to a pharmacist over the phone to ask clarifying questions. She was very helpful. Just a heads up, this pharmacy does not offer any retail items. It is only a place to drop off and pick up prescription medication’s.

Chrissy's Customer service was exceptional, She made me feel extremely comfortable for the very first time in many years of being a patient at this facility, Her energy over the phone blew my mind. She spoke to me so nicely and pleasant, She also took the time to listen to my concerns and solved them without having to call upper management. I would love to see more people like her in the Walgreens stores. I would highly recommend this location to family and friends. Thanks for reassuring me! I hope corporate acknowledges her for all the hard work and dedication! This is by far the best experience I've seen thus far out of all Walgreens locations. Chrissy you rock!
