Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy at DAP Health

Friendly staff but they sometimes hit a snag in servicing people picking up prescriptions. I waited so long that I gave up. Too few attendants processing customers. When a customer requires extensive attention (more than three minutes), staff members do not move into action to get the line moving. One cashier was completely overwhelmed by a problem and stopped serving customers. The second cashier was overwhelmed by a customer’s special needs. As a result, there was no movement. A third register lay empty. With frustration growing, I just left.

I wish I could give them a 5/5, but the Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist, Chris, is substituting his own opinions over my doctors judgement by countermanding one of my prescriptions. I say opinion because all he knows of me is a partial medication list. (Walgreens is not the only pharmacy that I use.) And had I not corrected him, he would have been wrong about part of that as well. He doesn't know my medical history or what the doctor and I have been addressing. I've been using this store for over 10 years and have till now been very happy and satisfied. But this mornings events have overshadowed it all. It is your familiar well stocked Walgreens. the bonus at this location is it's at a major intersection. Across the street is ampm, the other street has Albertsons, Wells Fargo and the other side is a lbgtq community outreach. If you're taking the bus it's perfect; it drops off and picks up on either side of the street

Giving two stars here. While the people are nice enough who work here, I was given wrong information about the price of a vaccine over the phone and when I showed up it was more than twice as expensive as I had been told. Since my insurance is from another state and I could not be sure of reimbursement, I've had to decline an important vaccine.

I rate the Walgreens pharmacy at the DAP with 5 stars. I have been receiving their expert care and medications for over 9 years. They are amazing and I am never disappointed. Thank you so much. Best of health and happiness to you all from Sterling.
