Walgreens Pharmacy

Walgreens used to deserve a higher rating but it feels somewhat hallowed out over the last few years. The non-drug side of the business has lost appeal to me. I find it far less interesting to browse. I prefer sticking to drive thru or having things delivered.

I had previously left an extremely negative review here—and to be clear, I do think the business earned the review at the time. I’d been having truly horrific experiences and it was causing actual issues to my health and communications I don’t find acceptable in any way for a place responsible for tasks as important as medication. I have several conditions that require daily medication. That being said, I genuinely believe they have taken steps since that time to improve the experience—particularly in the area of communication. The one time since that an issue occurred, they were sure to immediately fill the prescription while I was in the store and it was corrected in under 10 minutes, with what did not feel like blame and acknowledgment of the mistake. Although the pharmacy is understaffed (due to upper management) the employees/pharmacist keep a smile on their faces and answered all my questions.

Prescriptions are always done in a timely manner and with a nice pharmacy staff.

They’re understaffed. Long wait times. Better off going to Walmart.
