Walgreens Pharmacy

I find the staff not only unhelpful, but condescending. Did not help with a prescription issue I had, and showed indifference. I had been waiting on a very much needed prescription for several months. So I finally switched pharmacies to CVS - they were able to work with my doctors’s office to help me get my prescription approved by my insurance company.

Wait in line for 30-45 minutes for a prescription that may or may not be filled, available, or covered, despite what their automated voicemails claim. This hardworking but regularly understaffed pharmacy team is becoming too comfortable with lying and gaslighting to cover up the fact that it is an untenable disaster. Employees don’t make the budgets or policies; we know this. The long wait times are bad enough. It’s the lying and gaslighting that have made me decide never again. Most people who’ve worked retail, service, or short-staffed jobs can empathize. Just tell me you made a mistake or can’t keep up with the demand because you’re understaffed and overworked. Absolutely unacceptable experience at the Walgreens Pharmacy on N. Main St. in Walnut Creek. I got in line 20 minutes before closing, and the person in front of me took over 30 minutes to get their medication. I was directly behind them the entire time, clearly visible to the staff. When they finally finished and I pulled up to the window, the employee saw me, ignored me, and after I rang the bell twice, told me they were closed—despite knowing I had been waiting well before closing time. This isn’t just bad service—it’s negligent. My prescription was sent to this specific pharmacy because of its extended hours, and it’s a time-sensitive medication. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Worst pharmacy EVER. Every trip, standard 20-30 minute wait minimum. Doesn’t matter what time of day. Never enough staff. Constantly rude and not friendly. Highly advise NOT coming here.

I just had the most beautiful experience for the first time ever here!!! A human being helped me at the window. The most personable, caring and professional(British or Auzzie guy with an accent). It was soooo beautiful. I’d give a 5star but I had too many headaches here. If the service is consistently like this? The long wait wouldn’t be as bad. It was a pleasant surprise of a change. He was so great I had to leave this review.
