Walgreens Pharmacy

I would like to commend Mr. Darius C ,employee of Walgreens Pharmacy. I misplaced my cellphone and Darius found it then took time look for the right owner. He returned the cellphone to me. I wish this commendation stays on his resume. R.Soriano

I tried to call this pharmacy for an hour and a half. The first time, they just hung up on me, and the second time I waited for about an hour! I already came to the pharmacy and saw that they were just useless. There was no queue, and they were just ignoring phone calls as if they were busy with something. I stood in the pharmacy and continued to call while watching these "employees" of the year, and right in front of my eyes, one of them walked up to the phone and just hung up my call. This place is simply disgusting! I strongly advise against going here for medications.

During three separate phone calls, I have consistently encountered unanswered calls and prolonged hold times. While I understand that the pharmacy may be experiencing high volume, it is imperative that adequate staffing is in place to ensure timely phone responses. On the first call at 10:16 AM, I was placed on hold for an excessive 44 minutes without any acknowledgment or assistance. The second call at 4:30 PM resulted in an even longer hold time of one hour, again without any response. These experiences have made this pharmacy the most unsatisfactory I have encountered. The medications are frequently delayed in preparation, and the packaging process is only initiated upon arrival at the counter. Additionally, there is a 30-minute wait time after packaging begins.

DISCLAIMER: I never write reviews but this has got to be said!! This has got to be the worst pharmacy in NYC—possibly the worst ever! No exaggeration! It's nearly impossible to get them on the phone to refill a prescription or answer a basic question; you have a better chance of reaching the president! Even when you finally manage to get through (after waiting hours for them to answer) and confirm your medication is ready, you'll still end up waiting 30+ minutes when you go to pick it up. The line is always long, the staff move slower than molasses, and the phones ring off the hook without anyone even attempting to answer them. It's a complete joke that Walgreens employs people like this in their establishments!

This Walgreens pharmacy needs someone to figure out a better system of managing the needs of their customers. They move slowly, things are not prepared, they are out of things, people are complaining they received notifications yet scripts still not ready. OUTRAGEOUS.
