Walgreens Pharmacy

I am never able to reach by phone and you wait in line for over 30 min to be told after a doctor calls in a med for you that you also have to call….. no answer….. then to be told to come back or if there is additional info needed no one will communicate with you. This is no just once but every time so I have to switch pharmacies. If I could give less than one star I would. When talking to a tech they don’t care just basically tell you it is what it is.

This pharmacy has all new staff and everyone is very kind and helpful. They also get your prescription filled quickly. I transferred from CVS because the people there were very rude. If you had a bad experience with this Walgreens before give the new staff a chance. You will not regret it.

The last 3 times I’ve ordered my prescriptions and I’ve got an alert saying they’re ready I get there and they have no idea and nothings ready. If I try calling I’m on hold for up to an hour and then I get hung up on.

Mostly the problems are staffing issues. The area they work in is just too small. I blame corporate for this. I've even seen documentary journalism about how much Pharmacists are leaving these corporate run positions which doesn't help. Yesterday 2/9/25, my Hollister store was closed for the entire day. I don't know for sure but I assume it was staffing. I went to the Salinas store for something last month and think I inadvertently cut a line of about 10 people as it was separated down an isle and I couldn't see and no one spoke up. I felt just awful. Walgreens you can do better. Maybe just pay a bit less in dividends and more to your employees and you could get at least another star.

We use it because it's somewhat convenient....not because they're super efficient. Drive thru is like the roll of the dice...sometimes you hit a 7 or 11...and sometimes you roll snakeyes....the automated prescription notification is sketchy...it'll tell your meds are ready and they're not. The people are very friendly and helpful but they seem to have problems keeping people working there. Always shorthanded......
