WakeMed Pharmacy - Cary

Not recommended. They try but not once have my prescriptions been ready when I expected them. When I tried to use the mail order service nothing was mailed. Another pharmacy was able to fill my prescription in less than an hour for the medication this pharmacy told me they can’t get nor could they tell me when it if it would be in stock.

I had trouble using a prescription savings card at WakeMed Cary Pharmacy 2 months in a row. I called the savings card company and they insisted it was the pharmacy's error. After going back to try to use it again, the wonderful pharmacist stayed with me while I called the savings card company (again) and then proceeded to call the technical support line as the savings card co. requested her to do. She was so kind and took the time to get it figured out so that I could continue to use the savings card without hassle going forward! It is so rare to see this level of customer service anymore and I am so grateful that she cared enough to help me get the problem solved! Thank you, WakeMed Cary!!!

It was almost emergency when we called in, I needed to take a pill at 6pm, until 2pm Walgreen told us they don't have it. We had to call everywhere, until reached WekeMed Pharmacy it was already 3pm. After explain my situation, even they didn't have it in stock, he made great effort to call somewhere, also made sure it was delivered in time to the pharmacy, in fact delivered in time to my husband hand! He was truly someone trying to solve our problem and care about customers situation. We really appreciated the experience!

The setup of the room that is the pharmacy makes no sense. It's tiny, has chairs and a coffee table in an already cramped room, and with that if someone sits down you have no idea who's turn it is when you come in. Just odd and unnecessary design choice. There are also only 2 registers and It's relatively rare for them both to be staffed.

I am thrilled to be with Wake Med’s pharmacy after having been with CVS for many years. Gone are the constant texts and tedious request for mail delivery with each prescription. It’s all automatic and effortless. Plus their over the counter meds are much cheaper than CVS. The pharmacists are so helpful, pleasant and professional. Overall, a wonderful pharmacy!
