WakeMed MyCare 365 Primary & Urgent Care - Brightleaf

Took my mother to WakeMed 365 urgent care in Smithfield today and received great care. Mom’s primary care UNC Primary on Canterbury kept turning her away daily never having any appointments to be seen for a simple UTI. Not even to just do urine test. We walked into WakeMed and she was seen in an appropriate time and while there they did the test and off with a script we went. The PA she saw (Kathi Hunu) was so nice to the point mom has decided to change providers. We have always used UNC since that’s mainly who she has seen for years. Maybe change is good. It’s nice to be seen in a doors office in an appropriate time and manor. Highly recommend.

Was able to get an appointment with a new primary care provider after UNC and all our doctors dropped Humana. The nurse who took my blood got it but on the first stick and I told her she was a good "sticker". Everyone was sooo nice and made me feel right at ease.The NP was very engaging and I loved her easy manner and gentle persuasion.

From the receptionist to the caregivers everyone was professional , efficient & friendly. The caregivers described every move or procedure before they began. They were very pleasant and reassuring. I don’t believe that I could have had better care than they provided. I would definitely recommend this urgent care facility for anyone in need of medical attention, assistance or information. I hope that I don’t have a need to return there but would not hesitate if a medical need should arise. Thanks to each member of the staff. Sincerely, Carl L. McClanahan

Today was such a great experience. I’ve never been to an office where I instantly felt seen and welcomed. They took such good care of my daughter and made her feel comfortable the entire time. It may be a smaller facility, but the care and compassion were huge. From check-in to the doctor, every person was kind, patient, and genuine. Truly impressed and highly recommend.

I had a really good experience at WakeMed MyCare 365 Primary & Urgent Care. Everyone there was kind, patient, and professional. The check-in process was quick, and the waiting time wasn’t bad at all. The nurse and doctor actually listened to what I was saying instead of rushing through it, which meant a lot. They explained everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable before leaving. The building was clean and organized, and you can tell the staff genuinely cares. A special thanks to Dr. Derse for taking the time to listen and for being so understanding — it really made a difference. I left feeling cared for and at ease. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants quality care with compassion!
