WakeMed Cary Hospital

I had a great experience during my recent appendectomy here. Even though the ER was busy, I was triaged quickly and settled into a comfortable room within 20–30 minutes. The nurses were attentive, caring, and kept me updated through every step. When I learned I needed surgery, everyone was reassuring and answered all my questions. My overnight room was very comfortable, and the round-the-clock care was excellent. Surgery went smoothly the next morning, and I was discharged that afternoon. For such an unexpected and scary situation, the staff made it one of the best hospital experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend was admitted for pre operation observation. We were in a tiny room. Barley room for the bed. Staff was amazing. Only negative was 3 nurses before they got the main IV port in Vein. But then the lab girl came for blood. In n out in 30 seconds. Why they don’t have them do the IV line ???? After surgery we had a BIG corner room Very nice. All good nurses n Aids. One little problem w the food service. The amount of broth that was in cup. But his daughter sent a review n the main Mrg and director both came with the next food tray n apologized. After that everything was good n very nice young man delivered the trays. Thank you to the staff n Dr. for the Great service n Care.

Exceptional care, physician, staff, private room, and facility. Their notification system for patient progress during surgery is superb!

I was recently a patient at WakeMed Cary Hospital. I was seen in the ER/ED on a Wednesday night, admitted to the hospital the next morning, and released the following Tuesday night. My experience with each staff member was superb! Everyone- my doctors, nurses, nurses aides, lab technicians , the folks who delivered my lunch trays, (and anyone in between) treated me professionally, with kindness, compassion and respect. I really want to give this hospital 5 stars but I can't due to one major issue. The bed, precisely the mattress was horrible! I was admitted with an issue concerning my spine, yet the mattress on my bed actually made my pain worse. There was a visible dent or "wallowed out" hole in this mattress which caused me enough discomfort that it interfered with my ability to sl

Raj Baquerosa, RN, was my nurse during a recent stay in the ER, and within 30 seconds of Raj first walking in I knew three things to be true: 1. He loved his job 2. He was highly skilled 3. He cared! Raj has boundless energy and it’s clear from speaking with him he is highly intelligent. He helped me to feel calmer and comforted that I was in good hands! Raj took the time to get to know me. He made me feel important and listened intently when I spoke. I’m extremely grateful to him for the care he gave me, he is a blessing to everyone he helps!
