Volusia Medical Center

I have been trying to make a new patient appointment with this office for four days now as my insurance has changed and this doctors office was the first that I saw that was in network. I reached them once in four days and was given a very hard time by the receptionist. She was rude and downright mean. I got the information she asked for and have been trying to call back ever since. I’d have better luck trying to reach someone on the space station. I will definitely find another PCP.

I have been going to Volusia Medical for over 10 years but I have to say that since Dr's. Yee and Luong have relinquished their duties there the practice has gone down hill. The nurse practitioners don't even know the patients or bother to look at the history of the patient they are seeing. Now instead of renewing needed prescriptions for the refills needed you have to go back over and over again for refill visits. Seems like this facility is just a revolving door. My last visit I was told the prescriptions that have been prescribed for 10 years are no longer for renewal without seeing a psychiatrist, yet the brain injury I had 25 years ago make it necessary for these prescriptions for me to get through the day. Beware of civilians masquerading as qualified medical personnel. My doctor misdiagnosed Bells-Palsey as a Stroke!🤬 Who needs to wait for medical test before making such a serious diagnosis, mine didn't.🚫 They also couldn't properly administer an EKG so I had to visit another Advent center for the physical exam completion . The staff for the most part are nice except for one who needs to put down the cheeseburgers and pick up a better attitude towards patients.😠

I have been bringing my mother (99 years old now) to the medical center for many years now. For a while she had the same physician. For the past 2 or 3 years the physicians would come and just as quickly they would be gone. Finally the physician taking care of my mom now is one of the best ones we have had. He is very thorough and makes sure we understand what is going on. He is also very caring and concerned about her health. His name is Doctor Andrew. He has also given me some tips on how to choose a pharmacy based on the services received. Dr Andrew is truly a breath of fresh air. To my opinion he goes above and beyond for his patients. A true blessing.
