If I could give a negative review on this company. both parents were on hospice. Dad passed a year and a half ago Mom still on it was still on it until she went into the hospital for a fall. Social Worker came to my house with a piece of paper had me sign. It didn’t explain anything. She was done it says she was going to rehab. She is home with me. Never went to rehab never told them she went to rehab no explanation nothing and then I’m gonna tell me if I wanna come back to give them a call, never will never will. The service was horrible. Had the video show pictures to the nurse showing what my mother was doing on a daily it was laughed at nothing was done but up medication‘s nothing was done. It was not safe for her to be in my home. Nobody cared this place. Sucks wouldn’t recommend.

I was placed in this horrible company expected to die 6 yrs ago! Was jacked up on large doses of morphine until my husband had enough of their bs. Seems me being placed in their care was a mistake because I had an abscess in my colon and was septic. Had surgery and I am now healthy and Veritas, who placed me on Medicaid is now trying to charge me for their mistake! I do not recommend anyone use this company and frankly, surprised they’re still in business…

Unfortunately Vitas is a terrible representation of Hospice. They do not honor the services they promise when consulting with them. My Dad was in the hospital and he wasn't getting any better so Hospice was the next step. After speaking with Vitas Hospice we decided to go with their services. We were told my Dad would be placed on continuous care comfort measures. The most important reason we signed with Vistas was because we were promised my dad would be in no pain that he would be kept comfortable throughout the entire process. We were to have a selected team waiting for my Dad upon discharge. One nurse called and asked that I phone her when my dad arrived. I did, she came, and she left but not before telling me a doctor and another nurse would be in to discuss my dads medications. The n

My family and I cannot thank VITAS Hospice enough for what they did for our family. My mother has always lived at home until she broke her hip at 90 years young. She was in a rehabilitation facility and her health was declining quickly. We wanted to get my mom home so she could spend her remaining days at home. VITAS Hospice helped us get our mom home and provided the care we needed so my mom could be home surrounded by loved ones. The nurses that visited my mom were kind and compassionate. They also helped my brother and I with knowing how to keep my mom comfortable. Chaplain, Roland came to visit my mom and he was so engaging asking my mom all about her life journey. My mom just got out of the hospital about a week ago her CO2 levels were 104 their social worker in Lakeland regional social worker made it seem like to me that they were going to replace all the equipment they didn't replace nothing and they say the CPAP machines working good and I asked there not really happy with thi cpac machine was told it's working when my mom was in the hospital and she would go on the CPAP machine at night she didn't go under 93 I'm at home she has to wear a nose cavity underneath the mask to keep her oxygen and CO2 levels normal my voice to anybody that has a sick mother or father and you live in Florida move to a different state Florida has the worst healthcare I ever seen
