Vista Medical Center

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful experience at Vista Urgent Care in Crystal City. I was feeling desperate for care as I was about to leave for a trip and needed to be seen immediately. From the moment I arrived, the receptionist and nurse practitioner couldn’t have been sweeter, kinder, or more gentle while taking my vitals and running tests. Dr. Emelda was also wonderful and made me feel truly cared for. I really appreciated how nurturing and compassionate the staff was when I needed it most. I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical at first since I was the only patient there, but the visit was quick, efficient, and I left with the medication I needed. I hate one star reviews. I never write one star reviews. I have no choice here. My daughter had a pretty decent infection with one of her piercings. We made an appointment and arrived on-time only to find out the doctor wasn’t there. He just decided he was going to leave for an hour to have a meal at a restaurant somewhere. Apparently the good doctor is unable to order DoorDash, or eat at his desk like everybody else. Unbelievably bad business practice. Why even go to work? Will be emailing the larger organization.

This was one of the worst urgent care experiences I've ever had. I went in having familiar symptoms and had an idea of the tests I needed done. I was attracted to this facility because they advertised fast testing with on-site testing - not only was the service gruff and rushed, but it's been over 4 days and I haven't received test results (in the past I've received results for this within 1-2 days). The person doing intake initially was writing my symptoms seemingly on some small, ripped piece of paper, there was no technology I could see, and then when the NP finally "came in" to see me, she really only peeked her head in the door and was whispering to me about my condition. What? Come in and sit down and give me the time and space to explain. I didn't feel like this was black and white

I do not recommend this office. The rooms were not clean and the bathroom door did not lock. I came in on a weeknight and I was the only patient there but it still took 10+ minutes for a receptionist to even come to the front to greet me. Then, the NP asked me questions but did not examine me regarding my concerns and she had a pretty dismissive attitude the entire time. Additionally, they said my results would be back within 3 days but I did not hear from her until a week later. When she called to give me my results she left a message asking me to call her back. When I called her back I was informed by another receptionist that I would have to schedule a follow-up, either by phone or in person, for her to speak to me about my results and that I would need to make another co-pay since it w

⚠️ Be careful with their posted hours ⚠️ The hours published by this urgent care are not reliable. We went there trusting they were open, and they had closed earlier than stated. I had already vomited 11 times and urgently needed medical care, so relying on this place was a total fail. If they plan to close early, they should update their hours, especially for a service that is supposed to provide urgent care.
