Village Veterinary Hospital

We have had so many amazing experiences with VVH! Most recently our Dez was diagnosed with diabetes. Dr. Nelson was the primary doctor that diagnosed him. She gave us her email for non-urgent questions, and always responded with compassion and kindness. There were times as we navigated finding the right dose of insulin that we had to call after-hours and we were always greeted with patience and understanding. Dez's 12+ year old kidneys decided in the early hours on a Sunday that they couldn't handle any more. We called VVH to say we felt it was time to let him go. I can't say enough about how amazing the staff were at helping us through that very difficult time, with love and compassion.

My dogs are my children and I don’t trust just anyone with them. We LOVE village vet. We primarily saw Dr. Pfeiffer and Dr. Stehl. I can not say enough good things about them. We recently moved to MD and I’m so sad we can’t go thrre anymore (trust me, I considered driving back for their appointments). Dr. Pfeiffer is so patient with my million questions. I never felt rushed or like a crazy pet owner and they always showed incredible care for my dogs. The front staff has been so helpful, even after we have moved getting me all their records. I really feel like they are caring and compassionate.

On 9/18/25 at 8:36AM, I received a call regarding a no-show appointment from a member of this practice, who exhibited unprofessional behavior. I was surprised to learn that my number was not the primary contact for appointment reminders, despite my previous request to change this MORE THAN A YEAR AGO. Additionally, when I informed the representative that my dog had already received the required vaccinations, they became snippy and provided an unsolicited comment about the necessity of a rabies vaccine for my dog to be a patient at this practice. I found this remark to be both unprofessional, unnecessary and RUDE

Lots of very very nice people work here they are definitely pet oriented.... We started taking our dog there not knowing my sister has been taken her dog there for several years who is very particular where she takes her dogs to...

Teddy was a patient here for almost his whole 12 years of life, and while no one loves going to the vet, I always knew he was in good hands with Dr. Capella and the staff. They have it all. From routine visits to therapy, and they consistently treated him with kindness, compassion, and excellent care. When Teddy was diagnosed with cancer, it was the hardest time of my life. Dr. Capella and the team made sure Teddy never knew anything was wrong, surrounding him with comfort and love while guiding me through every step. I will always be grateful for the care they gave Teddy throughout his life and for the support they gave me when I had to say goodbye to my furbaby. Now I bring my Finnley here, and he is greeted with that same kindness and care. It means so much to know that my dogs are not
