I went in for some new snowboard boots without an appointment and was lucky enough to get fitted. Mark did a solid job helping me pick the right boot. I had a small comfort issue with the left liner and thought wearing them around the house might help, but it actually got worse. Mark assured me that if the boots did not feel one hundred percent, they would make it right. I went back the following day and we were able to find the right boot. Mark and Craig also helped fit my wife, even though it was close to closing time. Both my wife and I heat molded our boots, and they are fitting perfectly now. Skiing is cool when your gear fits your body and where you are going to ski. If you agree then Viking is your shop. They do a great job fitting you in boots per your ability and match you on skis, bindings, poles gear, etc without pressuring you into somewhat that wont help you improve. If you are honest with guys like Mike and the rest of the staff you will not be disappointed. They have two locations, downtown and in Barrington, which is where I got my latest gear and am have nothing but good vibes on the slopes after working with them. You need to make an appointment for boot fitting so call ahead and get there early in the season for the best selection of jackets, gloves base layers, etc. Now lets go skiing!

We had the best experience with Todd in the boot fitting department. My son has unique feet that don’t fit into a standard ski boot. Todd spent almost 2 hours making sure my son had the correct fitting boot. I am so appreciative of the time and extra effort he put into make sure my son has correct fitting boots. Unlike the other store that we went to and told him that skiing just may not be for him and he has to find a different sport because his foot is too hard to fit into a boot.

They will scam you - don't go here blindly. They mascaraed as nice guys but are just pushing inventory. They sold me what I now understand to be expert skis when I clearly conveyed I wanted beginner skis. Thought I could trust them - but there ya go.

The staff is always so friendly! We got our ski boots here last year and they are well worth the money. Staff is so engaging. We went back this year to get a new ski bag
