Dr. Dhevan fixed a problem that my previous surgeon did on me (a hernia repair with mesh). I had been to ER several times and VBMC told me that none of their surgeons would touch the issues I was having because it was done originally by a DHR surgeon (who mysteriously moved back to Columbia from one week to the next). I had a massive abdominal wall abscess and Dr. Dhevan was nice enough and confident enough to fix another surgeon's "mess" on 11/18/2025. He does not sugar-coat anything and told me the facts on what lifestyle changes I needed to make. I'm the wife of a patient getting surgery, so how is it that this clinic cannot fill out my paperwork for work (FMLA) for me to take care of him post surgery?? This clinic said to go to my husband's PCP, my husband's PCP said to go to my PCP, my PCP said the surgeon's office is who normally fills out this paperwork. If you get referred to this surgeon's office by your PCP, I'd recommend asking for a different referral. This has been a headache.

This doctor didn’t run any test on me, he just said he would remove my gallbladder since I had a previous attack. I hadn’t had gallbladder attacks for 2 months and he still did the procedure. Now I have pain where the gallbladder was. I wish he would have sent me to an GI to evaluate the situation and tried to save my gallbladder. This little organ is more important that they act. There’s other ways to remove the stones to save your gallbladder. I didn’t know until I researched after the fact. I guess I trusted the Doctors. To end his post op checkup was a call from his nurse. Dr. Dhevan is an amazing surgeon! He did a great job with my gallbladder surgery and his bedside manners are outstanding. His office staff is also amazing and has gone out of their way for my questions and concerns. I highly recommend!

Excellent bedside manner. Explains everything in detail. Cares for patients health and wellness. Tries the least invasive procedure but does what is necessary for best outcome. I highly recommend him.
