VHC Health Express Care

This was one of the worst urgent care experiences I’ve had. The staff was extremely unprofessional and unfriendly from the moment I walked in. There was no sense of urgency, no empathy, and no basic courtesy toward patients who were clearly unwell. Simple questions were met with rude responses, and the overall attitude felt dismissive and careless. I felt like an inconvenience rather than a patient seeking medical help. For a place that is supposed to provide urgent care, the lack of professionalism and compassion was shocking. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. If you value being treated with respect and professionalism, look elsewhere.

I went to the urgent care on a Sunday and the receptionist said right away that the waiting time would be of 1-1:30h because they only had 1 doctor working at the moment. The check in was smooth. In the end, I waited exactly 1h to be called in. The doctor was nice and resolved my issue. Overall, a good experience. I just wish the waiting time was less, but it was not that bad given that was a Sunday morning pre holiday.

Went on a Friday evening around 6:45. Was seen promptly, the check in process took some time for me to complete my info, but no more than 5 minutes otherwise. The facility was clean, equipment was newer (not rundown leftover stuff), my provider was super friendly and efficient. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Overall a great experience!

We were unfortunately sent here as the only urgent care anywhere within 30 minutes from our house that Tricare prime covers. We arrived an hour before closing- with an absolutely empty waiting room. It took five minutes for the front desk person to acknowledge our presence, and when she did, she indicated they would not see us tonight unless my son was having difficulty breathing. Absolute waste of a trip.

This location does not accept any kind of Medicaid for a minor or children, I don’t know somehow I forgot to call or ask them before I filled out the forms if they accept the Medicaid, but I forgot, We just got out of this location and they say in the front desk that they don’t accept any kind of Medicaid, from Virginia Medicaid.
