Veterinary Specialist Partners & Urgent Care (VSP)

THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC (I've had bad experiences with other businesses in order to have this range of comparison). I was recommended here because my dog's PCP vet couldn't squeeze her in. It was quick and easy to book a same day appointment online. From the moment I walked in, all staff members I encountered were welcoming, patient, and accommodating for my dog and myself. Everything was clean and nicely furnished/decorated. The care my dog received was thorough and I felt as if they truly cared about her comfort and health. I wasn't able to follow all of the recommendations due to $ (the pricing was not outrageous, especially for an urgent care, but it is Christmas time), but I wasn't made to feel guilty or ashamed. My great experience started with the front desk staff. They were very pleasant and informative on the phone before we even arrived. When we got there, the facility was very clean and welcoming. Nurse Brittany was assigned to us, and she was amazing. She explained each step of the process while being personable and friendly, which made us feel very comfortable. She took great care of our dog and made the whole visit much easier. The entire staff was wonderful and treated us and our dog so well. We truly appreciated the care and kindness we received. They also had a tv, games and hot chocolate station for the kids.

Despite the stress of needing to go here, this was an amazing visit. Long story short my little dog is fine. I did expect it to be expensive but I made sure to look into all of the emergency vets near me (Southern Indiana). Bloomington was closest but the reviews weren't great. I woke up at 530 and scheduled her appt for 815 (earliest available). I drove an extra half an hour this morning (compared to the distance to Bloomington) and got there 40 minutes before they opened. They even let us in 15 minutes early so we didn't have sit in the car. EVERYONE at VSP was so amazing! Not once did I feel rushed or like they were trying to sell me a bunch of unneeded tests. My total did come to $527 (I expected it to be more actually based on reviews from other clinics), which is rough because money

They were amazing! The doctor was calm, chill and caring. He didn’t rush and took the time to explain what was going on/treatment options and addressed my concerns. Best animal urgent care I’ve ever been to and Dr. Scott Rizzo was amazing, it was obvious he truly cared about my cat. I have already recommended them to family. Btw-Nancy was amazing too! If you need urgent care this is the best care around!!

Yesterday was one of the hardest days I’ve lived, My senior dog needed attention, which sadly was the end of life care. Thank you to the staff for walking us through end of life care for my beloved Mia. Your caring and compassion at one of my family’s darkest moments was much appreciated. I am greatly I got to be there for her first breath and her last.
