I brought in my rat, Poppy on a busy Saturday. I expected a long wait and hefty fee, but was pleasantly surprised by Dr. Buenrosto being able to see her within an hour. She had her vet tech schedule an appointment with me the next day since she was able to assess that she didn't need immediate attention. The vet tech that I spoke to was very thorough and addressed my concerns. I felt comfortable to wait another day and the scheduled appointment went well. Both Dr. Buenrosto and the vet tech went over all my options for treatment and provided me information via email for palliative care. I really appreciate the amount of care and reassurance that they had for Poppy. I was charged for the one examination fee ($250) plus the medication that they provided, which they were very upfront about.

Had to take my dog there on Monday during that blizzard because my regular vet had closed. This was the visit that all owners dred when that day comes but its time. Having done this visit 6 times in my life and all are terrible, this was the easiest of all. They accepted us immediately and brought us back to a private and peaceful room, not an examination room. They gave us private time with our loved one and only came in when we were ready. Afterwards we as as much time as we wanted. They were so professional. To the Dr and tech thank you so much for your compassion!

After bringing two different pets here, one of whom was treated during COVID, and working with multiple specialty departments, I feel comfortable offering a broader perspective. Caring for animals during the height of COVID added an entirely different layer of difficulty. Curbside protocols, limited face-to-face communication, staffing strain, heightened emotions…yet the level of professionalism and medical care never wavered. That experience alone showed me how committed VMCLI is. Yes, specialty veterinary care is expensive. So is specialty human medicine. Board-certified specialists, advanced diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, trained technicians, and true collaborative case management are not low-cost services. The vets and staff at VMCLI saved my dogs life. Sadly I have had to go to the emergency twice in 2 weeks due to my pom having a collapsing trachea. Both times I was so happy and impressed with the care and compassion of the entire staff. Not to mention the vets I’ve seen have been so knowledgeable and really spend so much time explaining what’s going on and reasonable choices. In particular, Dr. Hillock and his vet tech Dara really went above and beyond. This has been one of the most difficult times but the team at VMCLI have truly been amazing. Even when she had to stay overnight the vet called me early in the morning to let me know she did well. I don’t understand why this place only has a 3.1, because they are amazing.

Our beautiful dog recently completed radiation treatment, and we cannot say enough about how grateful we are for Dr.Moirano and his incredible team- Laura, Nicole, Melissa, and Laraine who cared for her. From the very first visit through the final treatment, every single member of the staff showed such kindness, compassion, and professionalism. . They not only provided outstanding medical care, but they also supported us emotionally during a very stressful time.
