I am sharing my experience because I think other pet owners deserve to make an informed decision. We brought our dog Teddy to this hospital after he was attacked by another dog. He had one visible puncture wound on his back and, during the car ride, he was alert and even jumping up at the window. We were later told he had three broken ribs, and the plan was to keep him overnight for monitoring. We were then informed that while they were lowering his medication to bring him back to consciousness, they believe he went into shock and his heart stopped. This was devastating and completely unexpected for us. What makes this harder is that I personally know others who brought their pets to this same hospital and also lost them the same day. Unfortunately, I lost my dog Moose during this visit, which made the experience incredibly heartbreaking. I do want to acknowledge that most of the staff was very quick, respectful, and communicative during such a tragic time except for the receptionist, who I believe was named Jamie. I called ahead and spoke with another receptionist, Ashley, to ensure my dog could be seen as soon as possible. When I arrived, Jamie told me there would be a minimum 1–2 hour wait. After completing the paperwork, I explained the situation to Ashley. She immediately checked with the veterinarian and brought my dog back for triage. Within 5–10 minutes of being seen, I was taken into a room and informed that my dog had internal bleeding and would need to be put down. I cannot imagine how much worse this situ

Thank you everyone here at VEC my kitty iris had been recommended to come here after getting diagnosed with actue kidney failure. Our original vet left her scared and traumatized, but this place left her happy and at peace. Tyler our tech was our first sign that things would be okay. Iris is a very loving kitty but is skittish when being picked up. Tyler picked her up and she just relaxed in their arms. Our doctors who tracked iris kidneys were so informative and considerate of us. we had so many questions and concerns; despite them being extremely busy took time to answer everything we were concerned or confused about. I brought my cat Jasper in last night due to concerns over his respiratory health. We were immediately taken back, and within a few minutes my cat was back in the room with me. After the initial check in I was given quotes for what to proceed with, and only chose to do X-rays as the Dr reassured me his current condition was stable enough to wait for our primary in the morning. As much as I would have loved to get everything done there, I'm sure there were other animals who needed emergency services more than us last night and Jasper is going to his primary in just a few hours. I want to bring special attention to the staff, who were so kind and compassionate. My vet tech was Tyler who answered all my questions and concerns, and was overall kind. A few weeks ago I had to bring my dog Baylee in, & she ended up needing to have an emergency surgery. I truly can’t thank this team enough for their kindness, their sense of urgency, & the care they took of my baby. The surgery went amazing, and her recovery was even better. She’s completely back to her normal self! Thank you to this team!
