Veterans Administration Lubbock Clinic

I’ve been coming to the VA in Lubbock since they built the new facility and it is amazing. I’ve had a dozen appointments over the last month and every time I go and someone is handing out free donuts, handmade wool hats, Coffee, etc. The service there is efficient and professional. It’s very clean and everyone I worked with has been just wonderful.

I was discharged from the Navy in '93. They helped me register, and get seen. Clean well maintained, and I have never had to wait. I get there 15 minutes before my appointment, and I have always been seen on time.

My experiences at this clinic have been exceptional and the clinic’s upgrade from the previous one is a big plus. The staff and the clinicians I have worked with-have provided me with excellent care as a patient within the VA system.

Well lighted and accessible for different modes of mobility. Divided into sections of clinics downstairs and upstairs, with diagnostic areas all first level. Waits for appointments are relatively short to be taken back and checked in by the nurse, then to be seen by the provider. Given a printout of appointment, medication schedule, and other information from appointment. Check out the next appointment made with the clerk and other appointments requested by the doctor or given information on who will contact the patient for an appointment

The Care Giving Program is probably one of the biggest disservice to the many of veterans who truly deserve to be on this program. It’s no wonder there is a class action suit filed against the program. Talking to the veterans who have severe disabilities and are continually disqualified over and over again is a dishonor to our veterans! I guess it’s better to serve the budget than our brothers and sisters!
