VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic

We've been going to VCA Loomis Basin for years. Dr Alex Rensing is fantastic, she cares about the pets and takes the the time to make sure pet parents understand and make good choices for their furbabies best care. Support staff are also very caring and courteous and took the time to make sure all my questions and needs were met.

Loomis Basin takes very good care of my dog. She loves everyone there. Some of the staff have helped me get her in the car because she would rather be there than in the car. It’s a very clean organized place for the amount of pets that go through there daily. We also see Dr Mazzei. Wonderful vet. Very smart.

Dr. West (IM) and RVT Amy are amazing! Brought my little guy here for a second opinion and Dr. West got him squared away on the first visit! Both of them were extremely kind and thorough-- it was very obvious they read all his records prior to my first visit so we were able to jump right in! Chunky didn't tolerate one of the new compounded meds, but Amy and Michelle were diligent on following up when he was vomiting, even asking the other specialist for direction on Dr. Wests weekend which was much appreciated to get us relief sooner! I love that they give you a visit summary to go home with as well (with fun stickers!), so I can show my family members who pup-sit. Thank you Dr. Velasquez for your professionalism, gentle treatment and kindness toward my greyhound and myself! We came to VCA Loomis Basin late at night, after coming home from an earlier veterinary appointment where my greyhound exhibited additional 'big' symptoms. You gave him a full exam with much care (he is a pretty anxious dog) and your demeanor really calmed my nerves too. I left feeling confident that I could take him home and that he would be okay until his follow up morning appointment. Your entire staff treated us with kindness and patience. Your assistant even came out to my car to help me unload him (by lifting my 70lb dog) and bringing him in. Thank you for providing such great care to our community! This is a great vet office! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr Cao in oncology helped we with treatment options for my cat. Kristen in oncology is always so caring and friendly over the phone and Breanna the nurse or tech in oncology is also very caring and helpful in working w my cat. My only complaint is the location is out of the way but worth it.
