VCA Franklin Park Animal Hospital

On September 5, 2025 our dog was hit by a pick-up truck and dragged for half of the block. An amazing human saw this and picked Max up off of the street and took him to Franklin Park Animal Hospital. Thanks to the microchip, I was notified. When we arrived, Max was on an IV, oxygen, had internal bleeding, wounds from head to toe from being dragged, damage to his lungs, fractures in his pelvic bones, and his eyes were black and he was not responsive to us. As I write this review, it is two months post the incident and Max is thriving. I was having conversations about putting him down and after consulting with Dr Augustine, we decided to give him 24 hours. Im heart broken that my baby girl Pepper had passed unexpectedly not knowingly that she had risks of congested heart failure. When I brought my 12 yr old dog in this past summer for a check-up and to see if she was still able to have dental cleaning based on her age and health, Dr. Pagor mentioned that she has a grade 4 heart murmur, but since she didn't have symptoms she assured me that she will be fine. Pepper survived the dental cleaning but the technician did tell me that it took a while for her to wake up for the anesthesia. 6 months after I come home with pepper having difficulty breathing. I rush pepper into the ER, and later that night I was told that she would not make it and had to put her down. Me and my family are deeply saddened we lost a family member, and also ferrous that w

I’ve been bringing my two yorkies here since they were babies and they are 12 and 11. Today our other yorkie had his dental procedure and I couldn’t be happier with the care and expertise they receive during their visits. I trust them to provide the quality care to my babies. If you are having any reservations about getting their dental procedures because they go under anesthesia, don’t. They are in great hands. Thank you Franklin Park VCA.

What a wonderful crew! Dr. Richard Biss was absolutely wonderful. His assistant Nancy was so attentive and caring. I took my Chammy there for a check up, he was also there for an ear infection. Which Dr Biss patiently attended to by cleaning his ear also prescribed much need ear drops. I love this place! 10 out of 10

First, I wanna say everyone was super nice and helpful. They listen instead of trying to just upsell you and treat your pet as if they are part of your family. I talked to the vet and she was very kind. My dog is older now but they never made me feel like they couldn't help her. She walked me through several options to try to give my dog the best possible outcome. I came in to get her teeth removed and they did a great job. My dog is much happier now. Wish I would have came here earlier!
