As a registered dental assistant, I hold myself to a high standard of professionalism, compassion, and equality in patient care. I treat every patient the same regardless of race, gender, or financial status because I understand how vulnerable a dental visit can feel. Unfortunately, my recent experience as a patient at Van Ness Dental Group was deeply disappointing and disheartening. From the moment I arrived, the level of customer service felt unwelcoming. What truly shocked me was experiencing what felt like discrimination based solely on my insurance policy. After my dental cleaning, Sandy, the front desk receptionist, informed me that I would not be receiving a dental hygiene goody bag because, in her words, “your insurance doesn’t pay us nothing.” That statement made me feel embarrass

Scam alert! This place is only interested in squeezing money from patients. My first visit was painfully rough, with no proper explanation about my dental health. They immediately pushed for a deep cleaning with anesthesia — something I neither wanted nor needed — and demanded extra payment beyond my insurance. When I refused, they tried to pressure me into finding another doctor, only to admit there was no other doctor available. Complete waste of time. If you want to feel like a sheep being led to slaughter, this is the place.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this practice and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The entire team was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making me feel at ease from the moment I walked in. Dr Nip didn't judge me for my previous dental care and instead took the time to educate me on proper dental care practices. They taught me some valuable tips to keep my teeth and gums healthy in between visits. Overall, I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a positive dental experience. They are professional, knowledgeable, and truly care about their patients' dental health. Thank you for an excellent visit!

Dr. Nip had been my dentist for over ten years. He does meticulous work and never over charges. He only does what is necessary. He has a great friendly personality and I actually look forward to my regular cleanings. He also has a really friendly and skilled support crew. Highly recommend.

Dr. Kim and his staff was professional,pleasant, and polite . He conducted the BEST tooth cleaning Ive ever had, and Ive had a lot of teeth cleaning experiences -I'm 81. His advice on my particular dental issue was top notch, clear, and spot-on. I will be returning! My wife Karen, also agrees and I went there because she told my about Dr. Kim.
