Valley View Center-Nursing Care

My 91 y.o. mother was there for 2 weeks for rehab. The ppl that work there were ALL so nice and were very caring and compassionate to my mom. The PT and the OT really made a difference and she was stronger when she left. Also the food was good too. Some meals were even homemade 😊

My mother was sent here by ambulance from Garnet. She is 81yrs old, 90lbs 5ft and very frail. She refused a shower and they manhandled her to standing, stripped her and used cold water to wash her. Told her "it wasnt cold" and kept right on after she kept telling them no. Inappropriately touched her. Did not give her her pain meds when she asked for them (She has severe rheumatoid arthritis of the chest), threatened that no one would pay her bills if she signed out AMA, and then when she finally did try to sign out one nurse refused to call a taxi for her. My brother and I dont live in the area, and she just wanted the whole incident to "go away" but I would bring charges if she would let me.This place is worse than a prison, dont let your loved ones go here!!!

Both my parents were in this facility at different times. Almost 5 and 7 years ago, first dad in the memory care unit second floor under care of Nurse Randy. My dad saluted everyone, list ability to communicate. They always contacted us with any issues, concerns or changes. When my mom wound up downstairs in the rehabilitation center for her heart, they still had excellent care given. I highly recommend this facility because we were treated like family.

Had my mother-in-law in Valley View for 2 months for rehab after an operation. The staff was outstanding and all the residents seem to be in good spirits and well taken care of. I have nothing but good things to say about the place!

I would give this place no stars!!! Numerous of incidents involving my loved one that have not been reported directed to the family. Falls, bruises, medication changes, general care changes and more that I can get into greater detail about. It is beyond disturbing to know how careless and uneducated the staff is at this nursing home.
