I have only wonderful things to say about Valley Tongue Tie. Truly—look no further and book an appointment if you’re dealing with any sort of issues regarding tongue/lip tie. This is where you need to go. My daughter was born with both tongue and lip ties, and none of her peds (or IBCLCs) believed me when we were having issues nursing. I got a recommendation to Dr A, and after our first appointment, I finally felt supported! Dr. A is extremely knowledgeable—no BS—just the facts. She took her time with us answering ALL our questions/concerns. And was just wonderful with my daughter (3mos old) for the actual laser procedure. Would do it all over again in a heartbeat! We’ve seen Dr. Afzal for several years and have always had a positive experience. When our youngest child was born and we had nursing struggles, it was no surprise that Dr. Afzal was recommended by lactation to evaluate her for a tongue tie. She not only had a tongue tie, but also an upper lip tie that would need released. The Wellness Center gave us an extensive plan of what to do before, after and during the procedure. We were given lots of time and opportunity to ask questions and make an informed decision without feeling pressured to just do what the dentist thinks is going to be best. This was important to us. Our daughter ended up having a successful release procedure at 3 weeks old and over time, while following the post op exercises, breastfeeding became easier. I highly recommend

I do not know where to begin with how ANAZING Dr Afzal, Rachel Price , Edith, and the rest of the team at Valley are. From the first consult with my 3 month old I felt supported, comfortable, and finally like we were going in the right direction! My daughter had severe reflux from food triggers in my breast.milk but also found out at 3 months she had lip and tonge tie too. This was a huge contributor to her latch and reflux. The procedure was worrisome to me but Dr. Afzul and Rachel Price too kk such great care of my daughter and me! They walked me through things every step of the way. I am happy I chose Valley Dental for my daughters lip and tongue release. This procedure, though quick, can be daunting. Especially with an infant. Everyone made the process so simple, from scheduling an appointment, to receiving an assessment, having the procedure and follow up care. Dr. Afzal knows her work and was very informative. Everything she said would take place, did take place. This allowed us to be comfortable with our decision. I would recommend anyone to this dentistry.
