VA Compensation and Pension clinic

This place is absolute garbage. Second time I unfortunately had to come here. The bald guy at the front is rude is rude and useless. The examiners do not listen. If you try to reason with them and explain they will write down a couple words in an effort to appease you thinking you’re an idiot, they clearly don’t care. Just absolutely terrible. This is the exact kind of bullcrap you’d expect from a medical facility that really doesn’t care about veterans. On top of that one of the examiners basically called me racist because I mixed her up with the other examiner. I thought she was the last one I seen but she wasn’t. They both wear a mask so half their face is covered, they both have glasses and short hair. It’s a ten minute interaction of course I’m not going to remember exactly what someo

Doctor was nearly 30 minutes late. Doctors hand was covered in old smeared henna tattoo, never seen a medical professional have the audacity to look that unprofessional. Not too mention some people are allergic to dyes and inks which is a liability issue. She was basically in her pajamas as well. Also never seen a doctor in yoga pants either. She didn’t even attempt to measure my facial scarring and didn’t care too. Waited an hour to be kicked out in 30 seconds. I guess that doctor decides what disfigurement matters or not. Garbage.

If I could give a "ZERO" for our experience with Dr. Gershwind on 2/1/2023 I would. It was a most unsatisfactory appointment where he would not allow my wife to accompany me in, who put together all of the information that was pertinent to refer to. My difficulties from my disease makes these things nearly impossible for me. I was yelled at by the doctor who was obviously irked when I couldn't give him information or I didn't perform a physical act the way he wanted me to. NO ONE should EVER be in that kind of a position when dealing with Veterans who are suffering disabilities incurred because of their service to their country. They should ONLY be treated with respect and integrity. Dr. Gershwind is an embarrassment to the VA Medical System..

Went here in around May 2019, near Memorial Day weekend. It was the worst experience I have ever had with any medical professional. The doctor seemed to think something was funny, I could see and hear snickering while she was writing. Maybe she found my physique entertaining. She was argumentative and didn't seem interested in what I was telling her about my injuries. My claim was denied because of this, and now I do not know what else I can about it. Veterans shouldn't need lawyers to get valid claims processed.

With any Government service you have to take the good with the bad. The doctor I had wasn't as attentive as I would have liked. 2024: updated But they are trying and doing better. I hope to see more improvement. Gave another star.
