UVA Health Mammography Center Northridge

Terrible, terrible, terrible. They are only interested in billing the insurance. If it is your regular screening, they will refuse you if you think you have an issue. I went for my regular screening, asked by clinician if I had any changes, I said, I noticed a small lump, but wasn't sure. They REFUSED to screen and told me I had to go to my doctor. Then my doctor would decide if there was lump, and send me for a screening. The clinician told me it might be a different screening or maybe the same. But, the radiologist would not look at if I was worried about something--what?? So, what is the screening for?? UVA clearly does not support women only what they can bill the insurance for. I did call my doctor, she is seeing me immediately and shocked by this policy.

Im sorry to read the one star review. This is my first time here but everyone was incredibly kind and gentle. They answered all my questions and made me feel safe. I hope that it continues to be the case. Rest assured if anything changes I will update. Jennifer and the receptionist Rose were wonderful.
