Dr. Trevor Smith was really good in the hospital but after my husband has been discharged trying to get ahold of him has been a nightmare! My husband is in stage 5 kidney failure and is very anemic and was told by him to get an infusion a week after he left the hospital. His office staff have been rude and will not get answers from him for weeks leaving my husband in a bad shape with no explanations from anyone and they blamed the insurance company when I have the answers from the insurance company and was just told that the Dr will not be in the office all month so they can't do anything. This is going to result in an ER visit because they refuse to help. Office staff our horrible and playing doctor.

EXTREMELY frustrated! My husband did 5 days in the hospital (ICU for 3 of those 5 days). Dr. Smith was amazing in the hospital and on the first visit in his office. Since then, it has been horrible service. We were told to go every week for labs on his kidney function. They said they would call us each week. Never heard from them. I would call every week and never get a call back. Finally I got ahold of someone because the lab requests were not going through. When I spoke to her, she said to start doing them every other week. That wasn’t suggested by the doctor, but by the office staff. She didn’t know for how long the doctor wanted us to do labs, so she did a 6 month lab request, which seemed good in the moment. Dr. McDonald is the best. You can't convince me there's a better Nephrologist in Utah... He's been so kind and helpful for each of my visits, makes me feel good about my condition and is absolutely genuine. Highest of recommendations to him.

Dr. Trevor is very good. Unfortunately his answering staff are never available and you cannot leave a message. You just get disconnected.
