Urogynecology at GBMC - Joan Blomquist, MD, Stephanie Jacobs, MD and Janis Logan, CRNP

Dr. Blomquist is exceptional. I saw her 5 years ago for an evaluation and it was a wonderful experience. Today I attempted to make an appointment and had an awful experience. The schedule person kept insisting I needed a referral and I know my plan does not require one. But I couldn't get a word in as she kept talking over me. I just gave up in disgust and said goodbye. I called my plans administrator and he said I was indeed correct. They offered to immediately call up "miss know it all "and inform her. But in my old age. I do not care to do battle with the ignorant. Got an appointment right away with another just as as qualified but with a polite receptionist. Now I could have gotten my doctor to do a referral anyway just to appease this savage beast. I can't be bothered. Wish the doc

Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Ha (fellow) are phenomenal. My OBGYN told me to go to this practice for my specific problem (severe tear from childbirth) because they are the best, and they truly are. They did an amazing job on my surgery and provided compassionate care and follow-up throughout my recovery. Others who I'm connected with who have had the same issues/surgery, have had doctors not address their concerns seriously, didn't provide extensive follow-ups, and were not as communicative. I am so appreciative for Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Ha for going above and beyond. Truly a great experience in an otherwise unfortunate situation.

I have been going to this office for 1.5 yrs until I learned that Dr. Jacobs changed my medication without my knowledge. I have been having a very hard year and my pain would not get better. I asked numerous times to adjust my medication or try a new medication because the current is obviously not working. Dr. Jacobs refused to make changes until 1.5 yrs into it. She finally agreed to increase the numbing medicine and I was surprised why it wasn't done a long time ago. I came to the office to receive the medication and the nurse informed me that it was the original medicine i received my first visit but then Dr. Jacobs decided to change it. Why? And why I wasn't informed? I have tried transferring to Dr. Blomquist. But she wouldn't take me as a patient. So I left the practice and not going

This is the best practice I have ever been to in my life. My entire life I struggled with IC. I was not diagnosed until I was 25. Dr. Bloomquist and her assistant Beth have been the biggest blessing. They are so personable and know so much about my diagnosis. I will NEVER go anywhere else, and they are over an hour from me! The front desk staff is always so welcoming, patient and kind.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor’s office. Do not go to this office, ESPECIALLY Beth Emami for any of your needs. I could not get a simple birth control refill without pestering them each time I needed a refill for multiple days. Most recently, Beth Emami told me to “go to a minute clinic or planned parenthood” for my birth control that I have been on since I was 15 years old. She has completely forgotten the physician code of “do no harm” and the office was comically unhelpful. Go to Planned Parenthood, you’ll have better luck there. These people are not worth the trouble, especially Beth.
