We took our dog Oliver to UrgentVet on New Year’s Eve. Oliver had been fine the day before, and suddenly I was carrying our 50lb husky/german shepherd mix home from a walk as he was clearly in distress. I had to carry him into the vet. Unfortunately it was the worst news possible. A mass has ruptured in Oliver’s abdomen and he was bleeding out internally. We had to act fast, but Dr. Marks was patient as he gave me a thorough explanation of the situation, the options, and answered my questions. Ultimately we had to let our boy go. Staff led us to a comfort room with soft music playing, tissues, a couch and a soft rug with enough space that the whole family could be close to Oliver in his last moments. My experience with Urgent vet was 10l10. I had gotten home from work at 4, realized my dog was having an issue and I, who some would call over dramatic but I would characterize as better safe than sorry, looked online to see what my options were for immediate help. I found Urgent Vet, was able to "book" a time online. I was in the vet by 4:35 and in an exam room by 4:37. The vet is clean, the staff was knowledgeable, made sure I understood what was going on and verified options and pricing before doing anything. It was easy, fast and my little guy is already feeling better. Grateful for this emergency vet option. They also took Care Credit which was helpful.

We had a wonderful experience at this clinic with our pup, Tilley. This was the first urgent vet we saw before needing to be transferred to an emergency 24/7 hospital and they truly helped guide us toward the best decisions to give her the strongest chance. Scheduling and online check-in were easy and we were greeted warmly when we arrived. Dr. Markx and his assistant Joey were kind, thorough, and compassionate. They took the time to listen, answer our questions, explain treatment options clearly, and provide an estimate before moving forward which we really appreciated. Tilley was usually terrified of the vet but she warmed up to both of them especially Joey right away. They even brought her a blanket to keep her comfortable during the exam. The entire staff was professional and caring.

Our dog Lily was having bloody Diarrhea and was very dehydrated. All staff in the facility were very attentive and we were attended to immediately. The empathy and care in this facility is phenomenal. The diagnostic approach and walk-through on treatment options were both efficient and effective. The expertise and critical thinking of the staff allows for cost-effective treatment options. Fecal exam showed that she had overgrowth of parasites, which matched the symptoms. Blood tested show core bodily systems were healthy. Outside of the initial exam, she was given hydration and some anti-vomiting medicine along with some antibiotics. The team at UrgentVet was so great. My pug was experiencing back pain and was nervous and the vet techs and veterinarian were so sweet, gentle, and informative. Dr. Markx gave us so much info for the future and preventive care to keep up with. Check in was fast and convenient. They were attentive and for a walk in, the wait wasn’t too bad at all.
