Urgent & Walk-In Care Mountain View – El Camino Health

I arrived there 15min before my appointment. I was triaged by a nice nurse. Then I was in the room for 25min until a doctor showed up. The conversation between me and doctor was around 45 to 50 sec. He said i am positive for strap A and I have to take cephalexin for 10 days. Thats it. When I wanted to show him a picture he said he is busy and he will come back. I told him I have 2 months new born at home give me something strong. His reply was go to medical school 🤭 My wife was diagnosed with the same bacterial infection yesterday. She doesn't like El Camino hospital or urgent care services. She went to stanford and the doctor prescribed amoxicillin. The doctor also gave her instructions how to deal with baby during feeding or day to day tasks.

Terrible predatory company "El Camino health" i'm not exaggerating when I say you're better off just figuring out how to take care of your own problem than coming to El Camino Health. No one that works here seems to care at all. The staff just do things like shrug and say whatever. If you come here, it's only the beginning of your appointment. I have health insurance. El Camino said they couldn't figure out how to get paid, so it was up to me to deal with it. The next six months you will spend hundreds of hours dealing with their billing. As they constantly slap on thousands of dollars in charges that you never agreed to or were part of your treatment. They will then challenge you to figure out how to get it removed from your bill.

Visited on a Sunday morning, and despite the appointment system instructing me to arrive 14 minutes early, the clinic was closed. We waited outside until 8:00 AM. Check-in was fine, but the PA seemed in a bad mood. I went in for flu/cold symptoms, and the NP just said everything was negative and to buy over-the-counter meds. No guidance on what to take, how often, or for how long. I’m not a doctor—how am I supposed to know? Honestly, I feel like I’d get better advice from Reddit or AI. The clinic was empty, yet they rushed me out. Very disappointing experience.

I got seen right away and the nurse practitioner who saw me was extremely competent and thorough. She not only diagnosed, treated and documented my infection but took the time to really listened to and respond to my questions and concerns. I highly recommend this facility.

I visited this morning around 9:30am and I had a very mixed experience at this urgent care. While the doctor and front desk staff were excellent, the encounter with the medical assistant was extremely concerning. She appeared unprepared and unprofessional, even asking me which symptom I wanted to “focus on” rather than assessing my full condition. Worse, she provided a vitals report that included my temperature, height, and weight—none of which were actually measured. This raised serious concerns about patient safety and record accuracy. On the positive side, the doctor gave me a clear diagnosis and treatment plan, which was very reassuring. The front desk staff and manager also responded quickly to my concerns, re-checked my vitals properly, and apologized sincerely. Although this clin
